This Privacy Policy explains what information Morning Calm collects when you visit gigipick.blogspot.com, why it is collected, and what control you have over it. Please read it before using the site.
Who we are
Morning Calm is an independent publication about Korean culture, food, travel, and everyday life, written in English for an international readership. The site is operated by an individual publisher based in South Korea and hosted on Blogger, a service provided by Google LLC.
For any question about this policy, or to exercise the rights described below, contact us at wvwii3@gmail.com.
Information we collect
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, Morning Calm and its service providers automatically receive certain technical information each time a page is loaded. This may include your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device type, screen size, referring page, the pages you view, the time and date of your visit, and general location inferred from your IP address (typically country or city level). This information is used to keep the site working, understand which articles readers find useful, and detect abuse.
Information you provide voluntarily. If you leave a comment, the comment system provided by Google collects the information you submit, which may include your name or display name, your Google profile, and the content of your comment. If you contact us by email, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to write. We do not operate a newsletter and do not maintain a mailing list.
Morning Calm does not ask for, and has no interest in, sensitive personal information such as government identifiers, financial account details, or health records. Please do not send such information to us.
Cookies and similar technologies
A cookie is a small text file placed on your device by a website. Morning Calm and its service providers use cookies and similar technologies such as local storage and pixel tags for the following purposes:
- Necessary operation — keeping the site functional and remembering basic display preferences.
- Advertising — serving, measuring, and in some cases personalising the advertisements shown on this site.
- Measurement — understanding aggregate traffic patterns, such as which articles are read most.
You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to refuse cookies entirely or to be warned before one is set. Blocking cookies may affect how parts of this site behave.
Advertising
Morning Calm is supported by advertising. We use Google AdSense, an advertising service operated by Google, to display ads on this site. The following disclosures are required and are made in good faith.
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
- Google uses the DoubleClick cookie and similar identifiers to serve ads and to measure their performance.
- Third-party vendors and ad networks other than Google may also serve ads on this site and may use their own cookies or identifiers to do so. We do not control these third parties and their practices are governed by their own privacy policies.
How to opt out of personalised advertising:
- Manage or disable personalised advertising from Google at Google Ads Settings (adssettings.google.com).
- Review how Google uses information from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
- Opt out of personalised advertising from many other vendors at aboutads.info/choices (United States and international) or youronlinechoices.eu (Europe).
Opting out of personalised advertising does not remove advertising from this site. You will still see ads, but they will be less relevant to you.
Consent for readers in the EEA, the UK, and Switzerland
If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, a consent message is presented to you before personalised advertising cookies are set. This message is delivered through a consent management platform certified by Google under the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework, as required of publishers using Google AdSense.
Your choices are recorded and respected. You may withdraw or change your consent at any time by clearing this site's cookies in your browser and reloading the page, which will cause the consent message to be shown again.
Analytics
Aggregate traffic statistics are available to us through Blogger's built-in statistics and, where enabled, through Google Analytics. These tools report patterns such as page views, referring sources, and approximate geography. They are used to understand what readers find useful. We do not attempt to identify individual readers from this data.
Comments
Comments are handled by Google's commenting system. If you leave a comment, the name and profile associated with your Google account, along with the text of your comment, will be publicly visible. Do not post information in a comment that you would not want to be public. You may request removal of a comment you wrote by contacting us.
Your rights
If you are in the EEA, the UK, or Switzerland (GDPR / UK GDPR): you have the right to access the personal data held about you, to request correction or deletion, to restrict or object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. Where we rely on a legal basis, it is either your consent (for personalised advertising and non-essential cookies) or our legitimate interest in operating and securing the site. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority.
If you are in California (CCPA / CPRA): you have the right to know what categories of personal information are collected and for what purpose, to request deletion, to correct inaccurate information, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising. Morning Calm does not sell personal information for money. Advertising cookies described above may nonetheless qualify as "sharing" under California law, and you may opt out using the advertising controls listed in this policy. Exercising these rights will not result in discriminatory treatment.
If you are in South Korea (PIPA): you have the right to request access to, correction of, suspension of processing of, and deletion of your personal information.
To exercise any of these rights, email wvwii3@gmail.com with a description of your request. We will respond within the time frame required by applicable law. Please note that much of the data described here is held by third-party service providers such as Google rather than by us directly, and in those cases we will direct you to the relevant provider's controls.
Children's privacy
Morning Calm is written for a general adult audience and is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through this site, please contact us and it will be deleted.
Data retention
We do not maintain our own database of reader information. Technical logs, analytics data, and advertising data are retained by the relevant service providers according to their own retention schedules. Emails you send to us are retained only as long as needed to handle your enquiry.
International transfers
This site is hosted by Google and served through infrastructure located in multiple countries. Information collected through this site may therefore be processed outside your country of residence, including in the United States and South Korea. Service providers such as Google implement their own safeguards for such transfers.
